Welcome to The Midland Sinfonia Website
The Midland Sinfonia is a professional orchestra based in Worcestershire. Our 16th season started on 3rd December 2011 and Music Director, Richard Laing, has once again planned an interesting season that I believe will appeal to most classical music devotees.
Richard is our talented and creative Music Director and Principal Conductor who transfers his boundless energy and enthusiasm to our wonderful musicians who raise to the occasion at each concert. This will be no less true of the new season of concerts in Alvechurch and Bromsgrove.
However, the future of the orchestra is in jeopardy and we need your support if we are to continue.
Our regular audience members will note that we have just 5 concerts in the 2011/12 programme. This shortened season is a disappointment and has been forced upon us by financial restrictions.
If you know our music – thank you for your support and please continue to attend our concerts as often as you can and spread the word. If you have just found TMS – do please join us and judge for yourself. I feel sure you will not be disappointed and may well become a regular audience member and even become a Patron.
